It is highly recommended that you control your food intake. There are a lot of information about controlled diet food intake around the internet, maybe you should have a look at those websites.

I personally would recommend that you stay away from oily food and anyhing that is made from flour, ie breads, noodles, rice noodles, even RICE itself.

Eat more vegetable, not cooked in oil of course, mildly boiled with just a very small amount of salt, no MSG. Lot's of fruits might help as well. Meat and seafood are fine, but remember, not too much.

Apart from the diet, exercises are important. Try to go for walk, not run or jog. Walk a minimum of about 3km/1.5miles a day. Of course, the walking speed should be fast, not too fast and not too slow, make sure you sweat. Going to gym to do cycling would help, sauna and steam would be nice.

If there is swimming pool facilities around, use it. You might not be able to change your height, but yes, you can change your weight and go slim. Say you can, never give up and do it!

Oh yeah.. exercises should be about 4 days a week, minimum, and about 2 to 3 hours per day. Remember, do improve yourself, a time sacrifice should be made.

All the best!

Low blows Cindy G & roscoedeadbeat. I hope you're not English language teacher! Whether you are or you're not, you need to learn some manners & respect!

Anupam S you can turn your household chores into a nice little workout.
Instead of grabbing several items & pegs from the laundry basket at once, take one item & one peg at a time. Bend down for every peg you need to use. This will help to burn off the fat & develop some muscle around your waistline.
Do the same when you're tidying up after your kids.
When you carry your shopping bags, don't let your arms hang down; lift them a little to build some arm muscle.
If you have a car, park it a block from where you need to be & walk the rest of the way.
Put on some loud music and dance! Use door frames for support when you shimmy down to the floor and back.
Lie down on your belly, prop yourself up on your elbows and read a book. This will help your stomach muscles tighten.

Don't lose hope when your body doesn't change shape in a week. Keep working on it and before you know it you'll be a 'yummy mummy'!

Who needs to pay money to a gym? Not me!

Instead of 3 meals a day, have 6 small meals, or 3 meals and 3 snacks. Don't go more than three hours without eating something.

Drink nothing but water.

Make sure every meal and snack has either some protein or some calcium in it.

Avoid sugars and saturated fats.

Eat whole-grain foods. Brown bread, brown rice, oatmeal.

Go for walks and invest(buy) a nordic track 505/303 basic excirsise machine. If you use this machine every day for at least 10 minutes a day then gradually build up to 30 minutes a day you will loose weight. I know! I have one and It gives every bit to helping burn off the fat. Their number is 1-800-426-5431.

Eat fewer calories than you burn. OR Burn more calories than you eat. Only real way without surgery or drugs. Not easy, and must be done for life. But worth it.

Also good luck learning English as a socond language!
