There is an art reference book called "The Artists & Graphic Designers Market" by Mary Cox. New editions come out every year. it has tips on how to get work at Hallmark (or any major company). It includes interviews with the art buyers with information on how to apply and what type of art they are looking for.

Go get em!

Go online-- to Hallmark.. They may have a section where they refer to career opportunities-- or if they have an 800 number-- you might want to call them and ask them the procedure for submitting a portfolio. If you live in their town , then make an appt to bring your portfolio.. If it's long distance then find out where to send the portfolio.
Make sure that the first piece you open to in the portfolio will knock their socks off.. : )

Hallmark has a career website that lists openings. You can check there to apply.
