im goin to radio shack to buy a new prepaid verizon phone. when i buy the phone since its prepaid and i dont have to sign anything will it be turned on as soon as i buy it? meaning i can buy it, walk out of the store and instantly call somebody without haveing to go to a verizon company or anything to get it turned on?

You have to charge it first. So you'll have to wait about 8-12 hours before using it.

No... you first must charge it, then you have to call Verizon and give them the I.D. number on your phone in order for them to activate it.
