This book is probably the most informative and practical guide on the subject of acid reflux and heartburn that I have ever read https://tr.im/acidrefluxremedies
I was prescribed Lansoprazole which was brilliant but after two years of aching joints, extreme muscle pain which the doc gave me cortisone jags for, with some research I discovered the drug Lansoprazole was causing these rare side effects but it was I who diagnosed it NOT my doctor, I came off the drug 2 months ago, changed my diet and discovered just eating an apple stops any acid reflux, I eat an apple before bed, brilliant no acid, any time I feel the slightest sign of reflux I simply eat an apple. Apple juice is not that good nor is anything else I have tried including honey at stopping reflux.

I have been plagued with acid reflux, leaky gut, constipation, reflux esophagitis and dyspepsia for years and nothing conventional medicine has offered really helped, at least not in the long run. By following only the first step in this book. https://tr.im/HeartburnNoMoreByJeffMartin

I have felt your pain, literally. I went throught the same thing..at night especially. I would ask your doctor if you can take something else for the acid reflux because it is so painful. Perhaps there is something you can take that will be okay to take while pregnant.
Many moms don't want to take any medication while pregnant..but..did you know that babies can be harmed if the mom feels too much stress. Pain causes stress...pure and simple. You need to feel okay..and to have a happy pregnancy.
So, call your Doc and tell him/ her what's going on and how he/ she can help. You deserve it.
Best of luck to you, and the baby inside of you!

You can take Zantac 150, either OTC or ask for a prescription. I had some horrible reflux while pregnant. Doc told me I could take the Zantac twice a day, and take some Tums in between if needed. Good luck with it, I know it sucks!!

when I was pregnant I lived with a bottle of mylanta by my side. It did help. Also, eat a bunch of little meals insted of 3 big ones. Sleep raised up some. Drink lots of water. Limit coffee, cola, tea, alcohol, chocolate, fat, citrus juices, etc. Also, you can try to chew gum as it neutrilizes the acid that has refluxed into the esophagus.

Call your doctor because there are some OTC meds that a pregnant woman can take. Also, you might look into getting a prescription. I was on Nexium while at the end of my pregnancies and it help so much. Before I went on the medicine I was drinking almost a bottle of Mylanta a day and it didn't help much.

I know how you feel. I would go through Tums like nothing.. CANDY...... Water doesn't help. Cracker hahaha . The only thing I found is nasty but really works.... half Dr Pepper and Whole Milk. I don't know why but it really works. right before bed. Also for some reason if my heart burn got to bad My husband and I would make love and I don't knwo why but that always worked. Try them if it doesn't work let me know.

Sweetie, I definately feel your pain! I had that with all 3 of mine. The only thing that helped me was Mylanta, but I was going through an economy sized bottle every couple of days. Doc approved the Mylanta though, never take something not okayed by him or her.
Hope all goes well.

As the baby gets bigger, it is going to press up even more on your stomach and this is going to make your GERD even worse. You need to talk to your MD and find out what he/she will allow you to take since you are pregnant. Let him/her know that the Tums are not working and if there is something else you can take. Good Luck!
