I also forgot to mention that my doctor also told me that it may be hard for me. Has anyone experienced this before.

Maybe yes, maybe no. The problem with irregular periods is that you don't know when you've ovulated. With my first child, I had my last period start on December 3rd. Didn't have sex the entire month....until New Year's Eve. Mid-January I found out that I was pregnant. The doctor did an ultrasound and said I might have had sex on 12/31, but I conceived closer to 1/5....a full month after my last period. So the only way you can tell is to take a pregnancy test first thing in the morning. If it's negative, wait a week and repeat it.

okay wow i never thought i would come across someone whith the same thing as me...but yes you could be pregnant, but most likely no. ive gone through the same thing, where ive missed 3 months at a time, and thought wow can i be pregnant? right now im going on 1 month missed...and a possible chance of being pregnant for the fact that my boyfriend left it in me a couple days ago. My doctor also told me it would be hard for me to get pregnant also, for the fact that i have such irregular periods! but theres always that chance, and really the best way to find out is to just take a pregnancy test. thats what i ended up doing when i missed my period for 3 months in a row! im going to do that again, because ive been gaining weight which is not normal for me figuring i dont gain weight very easy and ive been gaining 1-2 pounds a day. now im not fat, im very skinny, i only weigh 110 lbs, but still, i dont need to be gaining weight unless i am pregnant! so wait like 2 weeks after you had sex, and then take a pregancy test just to be safe, figuring we dont know when our missed periods going to be.. well i dont..mine come and go how they feel...it sucks...well i hope this was to sum help!

My period has been irregular for a few years now. Stress and a few other things can cause it to go out of whack. I blame stress for me because it started being irregular after I moved out or my mom's house.

If you have had sex recently, get tested (either home EPT or see your doctor). Birth control can help regulate it, but I personally just deal with it.

Side note: Birth control (pills, rings, condoms, etc) are no gaurentee that you will not get pregnant. Even if you've had protected sex recently, you should get tested.

a missed period could be many things such as stress, new excersie routine, new eating habits, etc.. But anytime you miss periods there is always that possibility. Remain calm, take a test, call your doctor. The best way to keep regular is a birth control pill.

Only if you've had unpotected sexual intercourse. Your partner would have had to have a sufficiently high spern count, too. Or, you could be pregnant if you've been artifically inseminated.

Unless a sperm cell came in contact with one of your ova, you can't be pregnant, regardless of what you may have heard, or may believe, or have told your parents. Virgin births are an urban legend.

In any case, it is always best to see your physician.

Anytime you miss a period you could be pregnant. If you're not I'd suggest going to your doctor and getting on birth control. Even if you're not having sex it will regulate your periods to be more regular.

If you don't want to be pregnant, don't have sex without birth control. Easy as pie. You could very well be right now. If the fear is great, the your responsibility should be equally so.
