Fun thing to do. Catch a fly and tie on a piece of light weight thread to one of it's legs.

So cool its a flying pet on a leash...

It would just be a wingless insect but still in the fly family because of the round compound eyes. Poke the eyes out and that will make a difference.

No it would not.However having ask your question the Stop the cruelty to flies support group will be watching you like a hawk from this day forward till the day you die. If you harm one fly they will have you up on charges before you can say help me.
