Okay, I have a friend who turns out was part of a crime ring. :-( He and his gang stole about $50,000 worth of goods from a school and a church. To make it worse, he's not a minor, he's 18. How long do you think he'll be in prison for?

It depends on if he gets convicted, and also what they are charging him with. Alot of times you do one thing, and they charge you with 5 other felonies along with it. Anyway, if he takes a plea deal, he won't get as long as he would get if he goes to trial and loses. He may go to trial and get off completely, it is a gamble. No one can tell you for sure except his lawyers who know exactly what he is being charged with. The lawyers will tell you the absolute maximum. Anything can happen though, and people often times get much less time than they are facing. If he has never been in trouble before he will get less time as well. The only way to know for sure is to talk with his lawyer. Good luck.

Ps. Just because your friend has made some bad choices, doesn't mean he is a bad person. Don't just write him off now because everyone is telling you to. Be there for him, this is happening because God wants your friend to give him his attention and to seek him.

well his charges would be a felony theft, tresspassing and burglary. if the stuff he stole was returned than that charged will not be as harsh, and with a good lawyer possibly dropped hes probaly looking at 6-10 years unless he gets out on parole, he may be punidhes to the fullest extent of the law if he has any previous felonies, if he live in claifornia he may get out very soon cause the prisons here are very overcrowded,

Well, that's a felony there and he could get a good 10 to 15 years depending on if he has a good lawyer or not. Maybe 5 with a good lawyer.

i imagine gaol use to be an English spelling. I keep in mind reading historic previous seeing an English poem saying they could truly be in gaol than the the undesirable homestead. i imagine penitentiary spelling has usurped gaol spelling i imagine the ao being that why round would not help it purely feels like a misspelling of objective. i'm sticking with the yankee spelling penitentiary I purely experience more advantageous tender with it.
