1) You think that we have a covert branch of government but of course no one else does?
2) You think that the few movies and news stories, which by their very nature publish the strange and unusual rather than the normal and average, because they show some problems with the CIA apply to their operations as a whole?
3) You think that our image has been damaged by the CIA rather than the people who report such nonsense as if it were the norm for the CIA?
4) You think our country would be safer if we did everything in the open for all our enemies to see and support newspapers like the New York Times in publishing national secrets?
5) If so, you are the enemy. Not them.
6) Do some research on the CIA before you start attacking the institutions in our country. You are undermining us. Stop.
7) You have no facts, just rumors and a condemnation of the institution without proof. I believe the rule in the United States is "innocent until proven guilty", yet the seditious people who think they are being clever are using this kind of traitorous nonsense against BOTH sides of the political aisle.

It should be faced down EVERYTIME.

Every nation needs a strong intelligence service to survive. The CIA does that for America soooo with out the CIA America and the American cause would most certainly die.

The CIA has been protecting your A$$ from plots to kill you. Have you seen the news lately? People being caught trying to plan attacks in Canada, Chicago, and all over. The CIA and other freedom-loving international covert agencies are there for the specific reason of protecting us from another 9/11. Do you think that Al-Qaeda would have voluntarily stopped at just one attack? Especially since we are actively seeking them out in thier native territory?

Hundreds of terror plots, credible ones, have been thwarted. Don't think they haven't been trying to kill us. They have. We simply are doing an excellent job finding them. The media is also reluctant to publish this stuff (when they are aware of it happening) because it makes thier position of being anti-war seem ridiculous when the enemy is still trying to kill us in our own nation, slaughtering thousands of innocent men, women, and children in the process. We are all "enemy combatants" to them. I don't see the liberals or the UN condemning the brutal tactics of suicide bombers. Quite the opposite. They are seen as the "heroic" underdogs.

that depends on what you mean by "American cause", but having a secret police is certainly non-conducive to what was supposed to be a free society. And remember free means: the absence of coercion by humans. To take peoples money by threat of force, and give to a group whose function is to secretly protect the ones stealing the peoples money in the first place is hardly an act promoting freedom.
