I don't want to eat anything even when Iam hungry. Could be one of the side effects? Funny enough, I hear progestrone causes an increase in appetite. I have tried taking appettie pills but all in vain coz there's no change. Help?

go see your doctor, it may just be your body trying to adapt to the change but anytime you start a new drug and are experiancing any type of effect that you dont think is normal you need to talk with your doctor about it

If anything, typically you gain weight with the depo provera. I've been taking it for years, but never noticed any side effects. However, my daughter in law started taking it and gained a lot of weight. She started getting real skinny again and I asked her what she was doing. She said that she stopped taking the depo provero shot. I wouldn't think the shot would make you lose weight, but to be on the safe side, I 'd ask your doctor.

Wow, when my sister got the shot she gained about 50 pounds. I would ask your doctor to see if this normal. But in my opinion it is better then gaining 50 pounds. Your best bet is checking things with your doctor.
