Not only the quality of the corset, but the care of it is just as important. As undergarments are our foundation for a fantastic look, this is not an area where you it pays to scrimpt...better to buy quality foundation and designer knock-offs or resale shop items if you need to balance the budget.

The next thing is the care of the corset. Will depend on what is made out of and Manufacturer's recommendations vary, but I would never recommend washing it in the washing machine with your other clothing and throwing it in the dryer. If your washer has a delecates setting and small load setting, you might be able to get away with washing it in the washing machine, but would recommend hand washing it in Woolite instead.

Some corsets can be dry cleaned, but can be very expensive if you go that route. There is a product on the market where you can dry clean at home; I have never tried it personally but have a friend that swears by it.

If you don't want to bother with the above, at least don't put it in the dryer on a regular setting...either air dry or put it on the lowest setting, but if it is made out of any type of spandex or elastic, the heat can cause changes in the fabric and make it bunch.
