I drink the above mentioned amount of water each day. As soon as i get up early in the morning from my bed, i drink 2glasses of water. Later, wherever i am, i drink the rest amount that i should have to drink. What i observe is my stomach becomes bigger than the previous yrs which i didn't have habit to drink. I'm not fat. Do you think water expand our stomach?

LOL!! There is no "required" amount that you "should" drink each day.
Just a lot of myth and folklore.

Drink when you're thirsty. Period. That's all that is needed.

Dear let me explain to you. One should drink at least 2-4 litres of water per day. The medical reason behind this is that your body needs water to remove its waste products. Like going to stools removes waste from our body. Similarly more water we will drink-- the more urine will come and hence more waste of our body will be removed and so our Blood pressure -- our kidneys -- our blood purification system will remain normal. If we will drink less water then over the years we will develop health problems. stomach does not get increased due to water. But do not drink large quantities at one time but one glass after every 2-3 hrs.

The required about of water is 8 cups per day which is 2 L, so I think your fine. I drink about 4-5L everyday so I think you will be fine.
