Where in Pennsylvania ? Philly to NYC takes about 2 hours on the NJ turnpike at 70 mph. Points further west will take longer. Points more north will take less time.

It really depends WHERE in New York. To the city of New York, it will take about 6 to 7 hours, especially with traffic in Pittsburgh! If you are going upstate, for example to Binghamton is should only take 5-6 hours, again, depending on the route and traffic. The best way to get to Binghamton is to get on Interstate 76, then go on 81 North. Travel through Harrisburg and Scranton. You will arrive not too long after Scranton. To New York City: Two Ways: Way 1: Go Interstate 76 to 81 North, Then pass Harrisburg and Veer east on 78 through Allentown and New Jersey To Newark and North on 95. Way 2: 76 East to Philadelphia then 95 North to Newark and Weehawken (ferry to New York or use Holland Tunnel)
