In World Cup the best players of all of those teams unite to represent their country every 4 years. Off side is when you kick the ball towards the goal or to a teammate and if the ball reaches your teammate or near the goal and there are no defenders in front of the ball then that warrants an off side call.

Every team in Football (soccer in usa) have clubs (teams from each city of that country) Man U and Arsenal are from English Football. From clubs players can develop their skills and countries have the chance to see whos playing good enough for the national team.

manu an arsenal are clubs where the players play their football when they are not playing for their country. but in tournaments like the world cup, confederations cup etc etc they play for their country....offside rule was introduced when teams started placing their players just in front of the goalies an the team would lob the ball to them an they would easily score...according to the rule a player cant be behind the defenders when the pass is made.he can be behind the defenders when he receives the bell as long as he was onside when the pass was started...also u cant be offside will nt be given if you are behind the defenders and someone else is going for goal....as long as you are not interfering with the field of play you are not offside

ok manchester united and the others are clubs that soccer players play for. in the world cup, it isnt by club, its by country. for example, mcbride and bocanegra play for fulham in england but because they were born in the us, they play for the us in the world cup.
an offside is when someone kicks the ball to player in position to score but that person is behind the other teams defense.
