You break the chain of that particular idea that someone wanted to circulate. I dont think anything else happens but in the olden days they say that if you broke a chain then you would get bad luck.

not a damn thing cuz its all superstious crap.
some of the mails are cute or funny and could be shared if acually good BUT most of them are crap or viruses or whatever and nothing will hapen if you dont pass it on except you may not get deleted from someone's address book that day :)
