I really don't know if there are any for free because there are times that I look for "PUBLIC DATA" like that which should be free, they are always charging an arm and leg for it. I could name a few sites like that but I won't cause I don't want to offend anyone trying to make a quick buck "unfairly". Ha Ha (yeah right).
I WISH THAT THERE WERE SITES THAT WERE AS FREE AS A PUBLIC LIBRARY. Because there are many people in this world looking for info like what you are looking for and also their family roots. And I think that it should be made free and open to the public with minor restrictions for protection. example free SECURE membership.

Frank c was the closest. The library holds a very old archive file for such things. You can go right to the day in the newspaper it was in and make a copy. Some libraries charge a little fee, not much.

Why don't you go to your local newspaper company, or give them a call, and explain to them that you are looking for certain birth announcement, if it was printed at the time of the baby's birth. Try it, They may also tell you were to go.
