Some of the answers seem to suggest that some people don't - they either say rubbish or put in a reply to the question they think has been asked! And often it makes no sense at all!

No, because I don't condone homosexuality.

Only stupid LIBTARDS ask questions like this!

But you must thoroughly rinse the eggwhites out first. Otherwise you run the risk of the eggs rotting in your hair and going with that smell all day!

(Just in case... this is parody of several types of "answers" I run across -- the evasive based on personal morality which is of no use at all and defeats the point of people asking a question; the non-response with name-calling; the completely off the mark; the religious for all occasions; and the DaFenseless Code. It's one of the reasons I've never asked a question -- wading through the mishegoss would depress me.)

I can't help you. Thanks for the 2 points! ;)

I oftentimes do not...it really is why I oftentimes answer customarily new questions so as that there is a lot less chance that i'm duplicating an answer. I also typically do a number of the clinical questions (when you consider that i'm a nurse) and those oftentimes do no longer have a range of of responses or the records given is way off base.

I was always taught at school to read the question before you try to answer it, a lesson that has served me well even in the many years since leaving school...... Although I must say that I did like the chocolate milk and cat answers above lol

They don't; honey. What we must do is use that to our advantage. How? Well for a start our college Doctors and Tutors are the same- They read our work quickly and get a sense of what we're saying *only*. Our job is to get out our gist at the start. Viola. Let's meet at the top of the world.

Well I did misread one the other day, someone asking if swearing was bad, and before I realized it, I wrote great answer about how sweating is good for you. Then I reread the question, Oops.
So I had to do a quick rewrite.

in a free, online forum like this, you pretty much have to take the good with the bad. the only thing you can do is to make sure all your own questions and answers are as thorough and clear as they can be and hope to lead by example.

not everyone takes yahoo answers as seriously as you (and me, it's not a criticism) so sometimes you just have to ignore the silly answers.

Some people just answer with rubbish to get the two points (sad, I know). Just ignore them or even report them so they get kicked off.

Yes, I know what you mean.
Most people seem to skim over the questions & pick out key words then decide themselves what the question actually was.
