Its Basically a fashion statement, but many have turned tongue rings into a sexual act, or saying that females with tonue rings are bust downs, which isnt always true.

well mine is sometimes for sex and some times for looks i just like mine and guys like to kiss a girl with a touge ring because even though i am a great kisser my ex-boyfriend said i kissed better with it
