When in doubt it is always good to see her doctor. It could be anything. with all three of my pregnancy's i had lower abdomen cramping. With my first pregnancy it got so bad that I went to the emergency room. They ran some tests and found out that it was round ligament syndrome which meant that my ligaments in my lower stomach were stretching to allow room for the baby, and I got it with my other two baby's too. However the fluid leaking is another matter. How long has it been since her first pregnancy and did she have the baby vaginally if so it might be caused from a weak bladder muscles, and the baby is just resting on her badder causing pressure. But it is always best to run test to rule out more serious problems. Every persons pregnancy's are different and unique and she could be experiencing something completely different from what I did. :)

Either she consciously or subconsciously wants to lose this baby, or else she's playing games. Yes we've heard of such a thing, it's not a good sign if it's really happening. The fact that she's actively disregarding it raises all sorts of red flags. If she doesn't call her doctor, then hubby should. Even if it's "just a bladder infection", it's not a healthy thing to have happen at this stage in her pregnancy.
Let the doctor examine her and make sure her cervix isn't opening. She may need something as simple as "cervical circlage" (where the doctor puts in a running stitch to close the cervix and keep it tight). Or she may need to be treated for an infection. She may just need to learn to do Kegel exercises. Or nothing may be happening, but the doctor needs to be aware of it and track it to avoid having things get out of control quickly.

first off your doctor should always be contacted for his professional opinion about your specific situation...........aside from that yes i does happen becides the common bladder leakage especially when you first get out of bed or have been laying down for a long time there is also an ammount of fliud build up in the cervex that can occassionally leak........as far as it being amneotic fluid i was told when i was pregnant that if it were to begin leaking it would be a constant leak because they generally dont heal up very quick....even at that still no reason to panic it your body will create more continousllyand becides there have been a large number of women who have had very successful/healthy pregnancies with amneotic leakage you just have to stay in bed a LOT with your feet up.......hope your friend does what is best for her child instead of selfishly acting out of fear

She may loose her baby if she doesn't go and see a Dr ASAP. Cramps and leaking fluids shouldn't be ignored during any stage of pregnancy, and can be serious signs something is wrong. Seeing a Dr soon increases chances something can be done if indeed something is wrong.

Your friend should see her obstetrician, if she has one or any doctor because first of all, at first trimester of pregnancy, there should not be any cramping (as this is a sign of labor) and there should not be any fluid leaking - any color for that matter.

This could be a tubal pregancy--meaning that the fetus has implanted in her fallopian tube instead of her uterus. The more the baby grows, the more the pain will increase. Her life could be in danger. Get to a doctor immediately!

SEE A DOCTOR TO BE FOR SURE. I had the same thing it felt like i was peeing in my pants. In my case the baby was pressing down on my uterus, but i think i was further along. So go see your doctor. I also had lots of abdominal pain it was all normal for me. But GO SEE A DOCTOR TO BE FOR SURE.
