2. It relieves us of alot of stress to talk to someone close about what we're holding inside of us.
3. It's fun 'cause when there are more details, they'll ask you to fill them in.
4. Sometimes people who are close to you tend to give you good advise.

It is simple: we trust the person. We trust them not to reveal that secret to anyone, and we trust that they will help us what to do with that information.
