Most anywhere in California. The beach stretches as far as you can walk, with waves several feet high as the norm.
Waikiki beach is highly overrated, and looks for all the world like a kiddie pool to me.

Pensacola Beach. The whitest, most beautiful beaches, and the Gulf of Mexico has warm water to swim in!

Ka'anapali Beach on Maui...voted best beach in the world a few times and best beach in the USA a few times...and i'm not just saying that because i will be there in just 16 short days.

where nature meets the shore, you cant beat Hilton Head it has the cleanest beaches and the least amount of tourist traps you can find on the east coast.

Anna Maria Beach On Anna Maria Island, Florida.
Soft, white sands, cool Gulf breazes, no sand fleas and minimal jellyfish! I lived there, there's no place better!

I favor Hawaii for the fun snorkelling beaches in Poipu, Kauai. We appreciated the little fishies. Resorts were within walking distance to enjoy a snack. We camped in many locales in Kauai. It was free camping at the time, too. I don't know if they still are.
