Besides contacting the record companies (A & R department) or checking the band's "official" website, you might want to check myspace.com to see if they have a page. Many bands, as well as individual members of the band, use the page to promote their music.

Yes. It is very easy to do. Contact the recording company on the CD for the individual band's booking agent's info. I do it all the time.
Also, be prepared to finance well over $50K for a big name band (up to $150K).

Thier record companies will be listed in the Yellow Pages. I think it's thier agents you are looking for, and you can probably google those and email them.

Look at the back label of one of their CDs - they should have contact information there, even if it's only a website. If you have the website, you can find contact information there.
Be warned, if you aren't a charity (and frequently even if you are) big names equal big checks to pay them.
