i would attach the feeder to the bottom of the cage too with a metal wire or something. then it will be secured on the side and the bottom. also i would only put in enough food for each feeding. you should also get your bunny some toys or something to chew on. my bunny always liked to eat the grass that looks like alfalfa, it was a healthy treat and she liked to throw it around like a toy.

Sounds like you own a smart bored rabbit. Here are some suggestions we tell customers. superpetusa.com shows a picture of a rabbit feeder that you will like. The rabbit cannot remove it but you can to refill it. It attaches on the side but a little differently and comes in several colors. The other choice is to get a heavy ceramic dish, this company also sells them, and the rabbit can't knock over the5-7" diameter one. Next get the rabbit s nice round stuffed ball or other small stuffed animal. Penn-Plax sells very safe ones with no plastic eyes. Rabbits like to chew on oak and pine wood also. Good Luck.

Maybe it's just a thing Bunny's' like to do. My parakeets do the same thing all the time for pleasure. A dog of my cousins might have eye problems and fits your description except for the being attached to Cage thing.

Well...It's a bunny thing. Our bunnies did that too. You'll just need to come up with a plan to outsmart the dumping. Have someone brainstorm with you on how you can attach the bowl to the cage and stop bunny from having it's way with it!

Maybe your bunny is extremely bored and the only thing in his cage that he/she could possibly have fun with is a moveable object...such as a food dish. Try getting a heavier bowl to avoid it being knocked over.

He's bored. Get him some toys, or the bunny treats at your pet supply or feed store.
We had the same problem when we raised rabbits, and toys worked.
