I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and he wants to get engaged but when will he propose to me?

I agree with Christina he's never going to propose the time is never gonna be right he's gonna have an excuse for every thing. I suggest you propose to him. This would definitely get the ball rolling. Don't worry about the man is suppose to do it rule he took care of that when he said he wanted to be engaged.

he is probalby trying to work things out but not try to show you
if he said he wants to get engaged
he will ask but he probably needs time to go adn get the ring or even pay for it
kinda like THat's 70's Show
where eric can't afford donna's ring so he has to take it back but jackie in the end ends up paying for it

if he has the cow at home why go out for milk? why would he want to marry you when he already has you, look it has been three years, he is just talking about engament just to get you off his back, then you will have a long engament and a longer date to when you get married, he is just doing this to stall, maybe he is afraid of marriage, mabe he doesnt even want to get married at all. i think you should go out to dinner and not leave the dinner table until it is all done and over with. let him know that you dont want to be wasting your time with this relationship if it is not going anywhere ,tell him that you are a woman and need to be treated like one and that means doing the right thing and marrying me, let him know that if he doesnt want this then he needs to let you know now, not in five months three more years or whatver , you want to know now whats going to happen and when you are going to get married.good luck.

Prior to meeting me, my wife's then b/f used this tactic on her to begin a physical relationship. Let me encourage you not to give in. If he loves you for who you are, he will propose to you. If he just wants your body, he will drag you along as long as you will let him.
