Lots of hope and boobs. It's really hard to wear them... they should make them more comfortable. This was a good question by the way.

the string that ties around the back of your neck..
...i believe you're talking about tube tops.. that actually have no ties at all..
A halter is a traditional style for a bikini top..
but a tube top.. those are just rather tight at the top.. but they dont always stay up.. they need to be pulled up quite often through out the day. It's rather annoying.
