Very normal. The last weeks of pregnancy the baby is putting on weight. Don't worry about how much you gain, worry about pushing it out of you.

It's probably nothing to worry about, HOWEVER, you should be monitored (at least briefly) for signs of pre-eclampsia. One of the prime indicators of pre-eclampsia is water retention/sudden weight gain. Others include excessive swelling of the legs or ankles (a bit of swelling is normal at 35 weeks), sudden swelling of the face, high blood pressure, protein in the urine, and/or a sharp pain in the upper right abdomen. I'm not saying this to freak you out; just to make you aware of it.
Otherwise, it could just be the baby going through a growth spurt...I only gained 3 pounds up until 20 weeks. From 20-24 weeks, I gained about 7 pounds, I went from 24-28 weeks gaining only a pound, and then gained seven more pounds the next month. Then I stopped gaining again for about the next 3-4 weeks, and have started gaining again (I'm 41 weeks) along. The doctors said it was just the way my body was responding to the baby growing...
Get it checked out/mention it at your next appt (or IMMEDIATELY if you notice *sudden* swelling, dizziness, disorientation, etc), but it's probably not something to worry about.

Yes it is normal. I'm 32 weeks and I gaind 10 lbs. since June 1st. You are at the point in your pregnancy where the baby is growing rapidly and you are going to gain weight really fast. Good luck!

I too turned right into a touch over weight after I were given pregnant, and that i in uncomplicated phrases received 10lbs in the 9 months. My medical professional suggested no longer to agonize because the baby become healthful and a good length, i guess she become provided that she got here out weighing 9lbs 5oz!!! in case your medical professional isn't aggravating then you definately do not favor to be both.

well, they say you should watch what you gain and all but at 35wks i wouldnt be too concerned just as long as it doesnt happen every week for the next 5wks....they say that the baby can actually gain about a pound a week for the last month or so

Well..that depends. I would contact your Doc about it though. You could be retaining water..and that might have something to do with Pre-eclampsia. Monitor your blood pressure for sure during this time.
I wish you the best..and remember to put your feet up as often as possible! :>)
