I also have a wireless mouse - works fine, wireless DVR from the TV in livingroom to DVR in bedroom. Wireless phones, wireless headphones. I have disconnected the Wireless headphones, no change. I turned off the DVR - no change. I've moved the modem and router to another room - no change.
I have to turn off the modem, router and computer at least 3 times a day when I lose connection. I turn them all back on in sequence, and sometimes get a connection back. Help.

You have a cheap card and antenna. I suggest you purchase a better card AND an external antenna.

For instant of direction you ought to very own a land line, yet you do not hook a telephone as much as the modem/router. the variety for a instant router is approximately six hundred feet. sure in case you progression added out you will loose a connection yet once you pull up your hook up with website you are able to often connect everywhere you go with. Wi Fi is instant. you go with an information superhighway router from Verizon or who ever delivers you, and instant-G Broadband Router The All-In-One instant-G Networking answer or yet another corporation which contain that. And poof you get carry of information superhighway

If your talking a WI-Fi PC to router and modem connection, try opening up your routers built in control panel and add all your wi-fi enabled network devices to the authorised and trusted devices list and block access to all others as you could be being kicked off your own network connection by someone from outside your home, a 2.4ghz wi-fi connectiion can allow access for anyone within up to a one mile radius of your home potentialy in ideal situations.
so go around your home making a note of all the MAC: addresses of your devices typicaly the device has a label saying it's MAC address. now you have your list disconect the modem from the phone line or just power it off.
When the list is completed open the control panel for your router (this information will be available in the routers manual)
now in my belkin router i can authorise or block specific devices, i suggest you should be able to do something similar.
once the details are set and you have limited access to only the devices on your network, password restrict your connection and turn off the broadcast my wi-fi or however it is described. don't worry turning off broadcasting will not stop the devices you want to connect from connecting, but it will stop other rogue devices from connecting.

for your own security when setting up your connection use WEP security and use a shared key this is on the provision that the other wi-fi devices support this. if not select the strongest level of security that your devices will all allow.

I hope this is of a little help.
