Because I love god. God has given me everything I have and I am grateful - I'm down with the g.o.d. - I'm not religious though, just very spiritual.

Religions are cults.

Because I refuse to believe this entire world is just a cosmic accident.
How can you look at this incredible planet and all it's inhabitants and believe that it occured by anything other than a Benign Maker.
People say that the more you study science, the less you believe in God. It is just the opposite for me, the more I see the wonders of the human body alone, not to mention things like the water cycle, the way carbon dioxide and oxygen are changed by plants and animals, the more I'm convinced that it can't possibly be an accident that we are all here.

People who believe in God, as far as my understanding goes, tend to be more optomistic, because they believe that, whatever happens to them is the doing of some perfect being that controls everything in the universe for the greatest good of all. I think that God Himself doesn't give people strength or good fortune: I think that it's the optimistic human mind that finds opportunities to make their life better.

When people hear inspirational stories about people who believed in God and had happy, successful lives, some people will decide that, if believing in God would make their life better and that living a good life would guarantee a place in the afterlife, then they should do it. Really, though, I think it's just the subconscious mind that does most of the things people claim are the work of God.

different people have different beliefs about god, having a belief in something greater than yourself only makes sense once you realize that in a universal sceme of things a human is not so very different than an ant. There have been many people in history who have pointed out spiritual truths like the Budha or Jesus or Krishna or countless others but their ideas have a tendancy to get used and manipulated by priests and presidents for their own goals. Beliefe in something only makes sense, but allowing someone to manipulate you through that beliefe is insanity.

If you think someone who believes in god is smarter than you, and you want to believe what he or she believes, then you will believe it. If you believe that a man can never really know the truth, because we do not posess infinite knowledge and perception, then you will never claim to know who or what was the beginning of all creation.

When I held my newborn children, when I see a beautiful sunset, when I look upon the snow-covered mountains, when I look at pictures of space from the Hubble telescope, or view any of the beautiful mysteries of this universe, including its perfection, then I know God is real. Then I fly my plane among the clouds, and "reach out my hand and touch the face of God."

This nation was founded by believers in our Maker. We are now in a pattern of rebellion. He has blessed people and nations who have followed Him. Our nation has been blessed, but is now a laughing stock in the internation community. We have gone from faith to faithlessness. Who would have thought 20 years ago that China would be our largest competitor and partner (they are the largest purchaser of our debt--they own us). And we have further to fall. For anyone reading this, have a talk with your Maker, repent, read the bible and the ten commandments, and enjoy the benefits of faith. It is a narrow road, but the right one.

Also, it takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation. The laws of physicis state that unless energy is put into a matter, it goes to its state of highest disorder (entropy). The theory of evolution states that somehow our planet has come to a higher level of order with no intellectual input or design. Laws trump theories every time. Therefore the theory of evolution is debunct, unless you are willing to throw out a fundamental law of physics.
