I think it's an esteem issue. They're feeling as if they might not be able to do any better, and/or they feel they're trapped in something they can't get out of, and that it will be the end of the world to break up. Fear of the unknown. These teens need the help of their friends to convince them that life will go on and it will be even better after they move on. (You can tell school is out for the summer, because all the English Grammar teachers are up late at night picking on everyone's spelling, as if we give a $hit.)

as for me, I believe that teens should not have boyfriends. My judgment on when having a boyfriend is until the age of 17. Parents who allow their children with boy/girlfriends at the age of 13 and on are not responsible parents themselves. Also get out of the abusive relationship. You do not need the stress. YOUR ONLY A TEENAGER!

If the teen is underage, they must get their parents involved immediately. I know sometimes most teens think their parents are lame; but they're here to love, nurture, and protect their children. If a parent is not available, then try the next available adult: uncle, aunt, teacher, police officer or any adult authority figure. It's ok to ask for help. Get help as soon as possible.

I think it's sad!
It makes my heart break that young teen girls have so little self respect and place no value on themselves that they would allow ANYONE to treat them that way.
Teen boys are interested in one thing and one thing only and that is any girl that will let them stick their d*ck in them and they don't care about the girl at all but the girls are so insecure and have no self esteem and they think that any boy that lies and says they love them is a good enough reason to drop their panties and sleep with them and put up with them treating them like crap. No boy is worth that and you are all better than that.
Have some pride in yourself and dump the little snot nosed brat.....men aren't really worth being around until they are over 35, that's usually around the time they stop being so self-centered and egotistical and actually mature enough to be worth spending any time with.

If you learn to take this kind of behavior from someone at these younger ages---you are in for a lifetime of this---people get so wrapped up in this image of just HAVING to be with someone that they will put up with dang near anything---it is wrong and this IS NOT LOVE--it is a controlling monipulative arogant self centered action no matter what they say to defend it and for the person taking it it does not get better until they put it out of their life and go on to better things !!!!!

look plain and simple no body deserves to be abused
i think these teens need to need to develop
self esteem not date for status find other more
mentally mature partners because there are enough
women in this world carrying baggage around that
did not ever need to be there in the first place this
only hinders them later in life when they do want a stable
lasting relationship

I don't think teens should have boyfriends then again i'm old fashion. But i will say this if you do choose to have one find someone who makes you laugh and smile and someone whom you feel comfortable around. You're still young if he feels you're not compatible with him tell him to move on trust me you'll survive.

I'm assuming that you meant abusive, therefore common sense dictates that said teens should dump the SOB's ASAP.

i think that she should dump him and not be afraid to take the most painful blunt object you can find and threaten him to &!$$ off! (but try to avoid beating him up - too badly)
it's for your own saftey in the long run
if you are in a high crime area the police are usally too swamped to handle your case
