They leave scars? Hmmm... one way to get scars is if you squeeze them! Did you? Okay, people, you are not supposed to squeeze your acnes, it's very damaging to your skin and it will leave marks on your face and you will look like the moon CLOSE UP!

Okay, damage control: only way you can get rid of the scars is by getting laser treatment- mind you, it's expensive but it's probably worth it. Check out your local dermatology center that offers laser treatment to get rid of acne scar.

Oh, and the Proactive recommendation won't work b/c Procative would only stops you from getting new acne. As far as the scars goes, Proactive won't rid of them- you HAVE to get laser to get rid of them.

Most popular answers seem to be dermatologist and proactive. I don't know what your budget is or your insurance situation but for me they both suck at the moment. I have a product from Avon that has helped me tremendously it is Avon Clearskin Balanced Cycle Cleanser/Mask. I use it daily as a cleanser and 2-3 times a week as a mask. It has helped with the acne and also the mask seems to really help when my face gets oily. As far as scaring unfortunately those won't go away without assistance of a professional. But maybe this will be a cheaper alternative for new acne as well as the oily skin.

i have used a new product from Paula's Choice called beta-hydroxy solution. i also have very oily skin and it left many scars; however, the diff w/ BHA over AHA (alphas) is that it works deeper than the surface. it also helps to minimize your pores so that the scars are not as large. ever since i've used it, it's been the best product (and, trust me, i've used lots!)

check out the website: www.cosmeticscop.com. she explains how it works best and even gives you home remedies so she doesn't even push her products, which ultimately means that the cost of her products are going to be much lower than Proactiv (which i think is a gimmick anyway w/ the marketing costs passed on to the consumer with all of the commercials and publicity they do).

also check out craigslist, under the beauty forum. you can get some good feedback from people about Paula's Choice products on there, too.

See a dermatologist if you want medication for it.

You're getting scars because your face isn't clean (and I don't mean that as an insult). You need to wash your face with face cleanser regularly but not too much or your face will dry out.

Don't pop the pimples, especially with dirty hands. Even bacteria under your fingernails can get into the pores.

Try out using sandalwood paste mask and after about two hours wash it off with green gram powder mixed with water. The sandalwood paste cools down pimples and controls further infection and the greengram reduces oiliness on skin.

Even though you have oily skin you must use a moisturizer, Dove is inexpensive and works great, make sure it is for oily skin though.

all the over the counter, tv commercial stuff is worthless. Go see a dermatologist, it will be covered on your insurance.
