Nope. Born and raised a Christian, but kinda like being bi, I knew I was different when as a six year old I'd burst into tears because Buddhists weren't going to Heaven (Didn't cry for the Buddhists, but cried wondering why Jesus and God would create someone, then throw them away because they didn't BELIEVE the right way), and cried when they said animals didn't have souls (what about my beloved German shepherd Rainbow?).

I decided at about eight that I was an aethiest because I didn't know any better. I just knew I could never reconcile Christianity.

Today I believe in God,. but see all the hateful things said and done in his/her name, mostly in the name of Christianity/Judaism, and if one could see the history of the Judaistics from other cultures points of view, we would see that that particular religion has deffinately harmed more people than just about anything else.

Love the person, hate the religion.

Yes I will be in a sense not to cause harm to the critic out of resented offence but due to his indiscretion between belief and person. A person may hold some belief but the belief should not personify to hold the believer dogmaticlly. To say hate christianity and love the person betrays split personality of the sayer who would neither truly love a person nor the sanctity of christian faith.

That's a good question. I had to think about it for a minute. I might feel offended at first, but then I would just feel sorry for the person. I'd rather they hated me than Jesus.

nope...but unfortunately for most people Christianity is such an important part of themselves either because they are too weak willed or weak minded....or have been inundated so long they don't know any better...that it cant be split into Christianity/person....my husband for the most part converted me...when we were married i was a christian and he an atheist but as i have grown up a bit and looked into my own mind for answers i saw what a biased and ugly thing Christianity was therefore i term myself more agnostic in most things i do believe in a higher power but not religion in any shape or form

No... I've had several athiest/ agnostic/ Wiccan/ etc. friends who cared for me regardless of my Christian faith. In those relationsips we've each thought the other misguided, much like reality-tv addicts and those who don't watch tv at all, but we got past it. Honestly, if Jesus had gotten his feathers ruffled as easily as most of his followers today...*shudders*

Well i think i sort-of agree with whoever Martin S. is. I think i would rather have someone hate me rather than have them hate God even though hating anyone is also a terrible sin.

that's wonderful. While I will change it of course to hate the fundamentalism, love the person, I will have buttons made of that.

Thank you.

Not at all. Everybody is allowed to have their opinion, and I rarely get offended by opinions.
