light pulsation is normal for anti-lock brakes, however you may have a warped brake rotor

Very simple. I own a 2002 Dakota and know for a fact that you need to have your rotors turned. In fact, if you still have your original rotors on your truck, they are CHEAP CRAP. Do what I did, replace your rotors instead of having them turned.

ABS if you have it, pumps your brakes faster than humanly possible. This prevents you from skidding, allowing you to manuever your vehicle under heavy breaking. If you don't have ABS then they are correct abou the rotors. they should be under warranty if you have any left. Otherwise check around for a good mechanic.

often times that is the anti-lock brakes system working but it really bothers you or it happens all the time even if your doing a slow brake then you may want to have it checked out but more then likely it's the anti-lock system

You need to cut the rotors on your vehicle . Take them to Auto zone if you have one 10 each or buy new ones depending on car , they can be inexpensive

Probably because they are antilock brakes. If not, then your rotors are warped.
