make sure all of the burnt residue is cleaned out of the home first..ie sheetrock,insulation...sweat the framing out with heaters should take 2 days. remove all carpet reinstall insulation and walls including any burny wiring that you encounter...wash the rest of the house walls woodwork celings with laundry soap dilutued 1 tsp to 1 gal. rinse well with clear water..and proper ventelation should do it ...if not call your local Service Master. for help they specialize in this type of cleaning...repairs are yours to do..

Rip it down to the studs inside. Any soft surfaces (carpet, drywall, etc) need to be removed, and the whole place hosed down with mold-killing chemicals to kill the mold.

If you go to the hardware store, they can probably give you a better idea what you need to do. Personally, I'd call in the pros for a mold problem.

It never goes away. Good luck. My house burned when I was 8. Now I'm 42. Sometimes I can still smell it in my ragdolls that survived.

i do not imagine there's a lot you may do to boot look ahead to the smell to bypass away through itself. in the intervening time, you could open a window to air out the position and spray some Febreze to shrink the severity of the smell.

Rent an o-zone mashine . usually runs 75 &up. but you can rent 'em from carpet cleaning retailers

huge high intensity fans..try talking to professional painters-they have them for fumes, open the windows and it sucks it out like magic
