Fill a glass dish with 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar and place in the microwave for a few minutes until it steams up the inside....let it set there until it cools down so you don't get a burn....then remove and wipe out and rinse well
Two more suggestions, put 1 teaspoon imitation vanilla extract in water and do the same to give it a fresh scent after it's cleaned. I've also used some citrus rind that I've peeled in water. Good luck.

Try Easy Off Microwave .... you put the pouch in the microwave for 2 minutes and it pops open spraying the cleaning solution inside the microwave...after microwave stops wait a few minutes because little towel will be hot, then you just wipe out your microwave and toss the little towel. Nothing to it...pretty inexspensive and you get 6 or 7 in a pack. good luck.

Put a bowl with water and a fresh lemon cut into slices and heat for about 5 minutes.. the steam will easily lift the baked on gunk and use the hot water to clean the inside of the microwave and it will smell nice.

I've found a product--the name of which escapes me--that cleans great. It's a cloth inside a sealed pouch. You put the unopened pouch in the microwave, heat it for a minute. The pouch pops open and the steamy, lemony cleaner fills the oven. Then when it's done, you open the pouch, take out the cloth, and wipe down the oven.

I just wet a dish cloth and put it in microwave for 30 seconds and then wipe it out. The wet cloth losens everything on the inside up.

Hi,
I just use a Pyrex bowel, fill with water, and a small amount of Dish Soap and let it just steam the inside up. Voila...Clean with Paper towels, and next time, use a cover over what ever you cook.
I know, it's probably a guy thing.
