Last I heard, there is no all-inclusive carry permit in the U.S.
Check with a local gun shop, the NRA web site, or anyone who teaches the permit classes in North Carolina.

No each state has different laws. Some states you can "carry" if you have a permit, some you can't. Check with the local law enforcement in the place you're going too.

Concealed permit no, but they can't prevent you from owning a gun or transporting to to another state as long as it is not concealed.
