Are you having a dress-up day or play?? Could help you more if I knew.
As a non-farming Kansas girl, I can tell you that the old guys would usually wear overalls and a T-shirt, most everyone else wore just a T-shirt & jeans. Don't forget the baseball cap with the mesh back. Other than farming clothes, Kansans wore mostly the same god-awful things everyone else did in the 80's...we're not in Outer Mongolia ;)

we people in Kansas in the 1980's probably wore the same things you did....CLOTHES....
jeans, shirts, boots, we work, we wear work clothes..........
what in the world is this question supposed to mean I'm not sure if I am mildly offended or just taking your question the wrong way....I was born and raised in Kansas.....STILL live in Kansas and am proud to be of the farming family......
please feel free to contact me and clarify.....I really hope this didn't come out too rude.....

Well, most of us in Kansas wore the same leggings, over-sized sweaters and big hair as the rest of the country!
As for the farmers, if you are dressing up for something...go for the overalls and plaid...lots of plaid! :)
