It's valuable to them to donate their own blood in case they need it again later. As someone else here said, they cannot receive a blood transfusion that is not their own blood.

Jesus poured his blood on the cross for us, if you're talking about jehovas, or bible. but talking human, we need blood to live.

You realize how valuable it is when you are in a desperate situation and you know that without it your mother will die. But thanks to great people from this planet my mum is alive and healthy now. And in her body there is blood from Indiana, U.S.A, even if we are from Romania, Europe.

I don't know why they would ask that question since they deny Jesus and claim that He is really the Arch Angel Michael.
