Let's assume you mean SCUBA diving in shallow water. The risks while doing that are very little ... as diving get more risky the deeper you go.

Plus as there is more light available when you dive in shallow water, you generally see more - fish etc ... and the colours are better as the red light gets filtered out very quickly as you dive deeper.

I know a man who is a quadrapeligic because he hit his head at the age of 17 from diving in a sanctioned area and breaking his neck

yes, many, our area of the northeastern USA is under heavy flooding right now. 2 men drowned allready today driving through water they assumed was shallow and passable.. I thought you said driving oh, never mind

HELL YEAH!!! i work in hospice and take care of a 24 year old guy who did just that. he's now a quad, and has too many health problems to list.

Too many to name. Broken neck, injured spine, and worst of all death. It's way too dangerous. Don't attempt it. I had that happen to me once, and almost broke my nose.
