I want to live comfortably on a moderate income (not rich, not poor). I love the ocean, but enjoy the mountains and the desert as well. Where have you moved upon retirement or where would you retire to - and why?

Vancouver, WA in the great NW.
Washington has no income tax and just across the state line in Oregon, there is no sales tax. Live in WA and pay no income tax and shop in Oregon to have no sales tax. There is a lot of rain but if you can hang with that the NW is beautiful. There are coasts and mountains and desert within the two states.

I retired in Iloilo city 5 years in the past. each of the benefits of an enormous city, yet consumer-friendly to get out to the geographical region in 15-20 min pressure. Many fantastic resturants and lodges too. about a million/3 a lot less fee than in Manilla or Cebu. a great number of fantastic places contained in the Visayas (middle) and allot a lot less in all chance to get hit by a typhoon than on Luzon or another places. i'd commence in Iloilo and also visit Bacolod and Dumgetti. Heck may besides island hop for awhile. in case you stay inPension homes this is incredibly low-priced to stay there and performance creature comforts like warm water showers and aircon.

In the United States, I would say Arizona, Florida, Southern Nevada, Southern Texas (Brownsville), or the Georgia coast. In Canada, I would say South Western British Columbia or Vancouver Island would be the best.

if you were rich, i would say siezure world, also known more accurately as "liesure world" but I like the idea of getting a motor home. There are so many places where you can stay at a beach for super cheap but you can also travel the world and see things you never have before. That's what I would do.

Into an RV.
That way we can see it all, follow the weather, meet lots of people, change the view out the window, and never be bored :).
We love it!!
