Because it's a free country and it should be a free world too, but unfortunatelly that's not true (try starting something like yahoo answers in an islamic country. They'd kill you just for asking the "wrong" question.
What do you want? Some geek to sit there at Yahoo and decide which questions get posted or not? Talk about censorship.
Besides, dumb questions tend to kill themselves anyway.

Well i think they allow such questions because some people just need to know somthing sometimes no matter how stupid. I think people have nothing better to do so they think about what has been puzzling them the most and just ask it.

How can they possibly afford to hire people to read every question? That is why they ask us to report abusers. Since we are already reading the questions we know when a question is not appropriate.

There isn't anyone policing every question...so unless they get complaints about a particular question, generally they are all allowed.

I have no idea, I asked about being kissable and it got booted in one second another guy asks about preforming oral on his 400lb g/f and it is the talk of the site, I am getting sick of this site.
