Yes, it's a horrible thing to do to yourself, especially when you're pregnant. You're raising your body temperature, which isn't good for the baby. You're exposing yourself to radiation, which isn't good for the baby. If the dentist is afraid to do one little x-ray on your tooth, imagine what you're getting from 20 mins on that tanning bed.

If you don't want your baby, then go right ahead. Why would you want to get in a tanning bed while you are pregnant?? That is crazy as hell. You seem like you have no common sense at all. You mean to tell me that getting a tan is more important than the health of your child? Think twice sweetie.

I worked in a tanning salon, and we made our customers sign an agreement promising not to tan when pregnant. There were no scientific studies to support the idea that tanning beds were dangerous during pregnancy, but we weren't going to accept liability IF anything went wrong. Soooo... certified tanning salons like mine wouldn't take the risk- why would you?

Do NOT tan when you are pregnant. That is crazy! You can and would harm your child very badly. If you want to have a tan look try the creams or spays for an artificial tan. They last for a while and it is safe for your child.

Yes, its very bad. You cant tan when your pg at all. The lights in the bed are very bad for your baby, it can damage a growing fetus. Just ask your doc. Anything that can give you skin cancer , cant be good for a helpless baby. be careful. You can lay out in your yard in the natural sun outside wont hurt the baby, just dont get over heated.

There is little evidence to show that it's harmful but making out on the tanning bed is likely to cause pregnancy.

YES!!! Tanning beds, hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, and anything else that raises your core temperature like that can adversely affect the development of your fetus. Especially during the first half when they are actually developing limbs and organs.

Yes, they dont recommend it because you can get overheated a lot faster when you are pregnant and it may cause you to pass out! Also, if your internal body temperature gets too high, it can harm your baby, increasing the babies heart rate and causing problems!! Dont do it, you can start up again as soon as the baby is born, it isnt worth it while your pregnant though!

Tanning whether you are pregnant or not is really bad for your skin. You are more likely to develop skin cancer. But I don't think it will harm your baby if that is what you are asking.

I asked my doctor and he said it would not hurt the baby. But then again my sister in laws doctor said it would. All we pay doctors for is their opinion, so you will hear yes and no from everyone...My daughter is almost two now and purrfect, and i was tan during my pregnancy. Only pale unotticed ghost will say its bad for you! hahaha, Just kidding.
