I cried during Momiji's backstory . . . and I nearly bawled when I read the last chapter of the manga. It left me with a feeling that no other anime has ever left me with.

I LOVE FRUITS BASKET!!!! I t made me tear up a little but now cry bit it is sad b/c of how they r cursed wit being part of the zodiac and mainly Akito making their lives and personal lives horrible by doing crazy and insane things 2 da family members mainly Yuki,Hatori,Kisa,and Tohru which makes people want 2 cry by the way Akito acts and another reason that causes people 2 cry is wat happened in da last episode(or volume 6 of da manga) is where Tohru has 2 face wit Kyo's true form(which I think wasn't that bad) and didn't kno wat 2 do now dat was sad

I love reading Fruits Basket...it's my favourite manga/anime...I didn't exactly cry...but it's sad...very touching...I feel more sorry for Yuki than Kyo...prolly because I like Yuki more..but still, I think Yuki had to go through more pain...

I did not cry but it is so sad. I feel sad for Yuki! I feel sad for Momiji and Momo! I laughed at parts about Ayame. I love Fruits Basket!
It is my second anime i read!

i didn't cry but was sad!!! Not about Kyo's true form but Yuki's past. I mean He was SOLD to Akito by his MOM!!!!! I couldn't believe who would sell such an adorable little boy!!! And Akito would yell at him for coughing and all!!! I was so shocked when his mom slappped him and Ayame just walked by!! Poor Yuki! And Yuki had to live in darkness by Akito! Am i the only one who feels bad for Yuki? Everyone is talking about Kyo but all Kyo has is his True form. Yuki has like terrible things!!! i know Kyo has a bad curse but Yuki had a bad past! I ♥ Yuki!

Not really, its not that sad, although after book 13 or so the books revolve around Yuki and u dont see Kyo or Tohru much anymore. Although everyone of the Zodiacs sad past is sad.

i cried when i read the part about kyo's... or the cat's... true form. That was sad, she said it looked and smelled disgusting and she still walked right up there and hugged his leg and started crying... and then he transforms into a normal cat, and she carries him home and kyos master sees them, that part was cool but the whole thing was really sad.

I cried with the anime only because I saw that one first. It's so sweet and the part with Kyo is so sad when Tohru fell against her mother's grave stone that it was heart wrenching when her friend, Uo, tried to go to comfort her and Hana yelled "Nooo!" and threw herself against Uo to stop her. Hana threw herself again at Uo yelling "Noooo!" and Uo with a heart wrenching "WHY! Why?". That's what got to me.

I felt sad for some of the zodiac members, especially ones that family members/loved ones memories erased. But I didn't cry.
