I believe Americans biggest fear since 9/11 is terroism. Before 9/11 I never even gave a second thought to terroism. Now I'm just glad I do not live in a big city that may be a target for terroism.

That we are turning into a third world country and will not be able to compete in the world market because for so long we were leaders in education, agriculture and our economy was strong. Too many people don't realize global change and being a part of the whole picture. We as Americans have become too comfortable with what is and not looking at what is coming.

That the other nations will line up against us and call in all of our debts, make us accountable for the crimes we have committed on the rest of the world, and that George Bush will somehow have gotten away before we can prosecute him. Oh yes, I almost forgot the other two: that the Yellowstone Caldera explodes taking about half the nation with it (no way to prevent or stop that natural phenomenon) or a direct hit from a twenty mile wide asteroid

To me, my biggest fear, at this time, is that Americans will not take the radical Muslims threat as serious as it is. Israeli has been dealing with radical Muslims since it's conception and has not had a moments peace. The radical Muslims state that we are infidels and therefor are to be exterminated. Since the Muslims faith is the fastest growing in the world, when will Americans wake up and see what is at stake? Even Hitler and Tojo did not state that we should be eliminated.

Honestly, learning the truth. Ignorance is bliss. Everything that America has achieved has shielded our eyes to the rest of the world, and people prefer to live this way. People in America are afraid of losing everything we have created, but in order to maintain it, we have to accept a certain amount of ugliness - a disgusting quality of our country we would rather not know about. The inconvenience of not knowing the truth is what the majority of Americans trade for their lives of excess.
