Things that spin go inward. On a 2D level if you have a bucket of water with bits of stuff in it and you stir it fast and then stop, you'll see that all the bits spin towards the centre. The same thing for 3D things such as dust and gas spinning and compacting in space to make a planet. Sorry its not very scientific, but I think thats in the right ball park.
