I have light blue eyes and I've found mocha shades make my eyes look brighter while deep plums or purples make them look bigger and pop. I wear darker eyeshadow at night and lighter during the day. But remember, blue eyes and blue shadow do not look good! It's so the 80's! hehe

Don't laugh, but orange! Or, any sort of peach or rich copper looks AMAZING on blue eyes. I'd stay away from pinks, they usually end up making your eyes look sickly or diseased. Some people can carry pinks well, but I usually notice that they are either blond, or have brown eyes. Also, I would recommend greens or teals. They are gorgeous! Neutrals always work, but add a little color to your world :) MAC has some bang pow colors, check em out!

I've got blue eyes, and I've tried every kind of eye shadow there is! In my case, black tends to be the absolute worst. It attracts all of the attention to your lids instead of to your actual eye, and since blue eyes are so pretty, why not show them off? The best color in my opinion would be light lavenders and light pinks. Lighter colors seem to work best with blue eyes, with moderate eye liner and mascara. Earth tones work on basically anyone, and are a pretty safe bet, too.

BROWN!!! In the crease, use a neutral beige on the rest of the lid. Brown is on the opposite side of the color wheel for blue, that means it is a compliment.
