not everyone is. Granted, that's easy to say, being so caucasian thatI practically glow in the dark. However, just judging from some of the responses you have received, you can see that not everyone is like that.
The best way to remove that sort of bias is to not practice it yourself, not teach it to your kids, and not tolerate it in your friends or even strangers. This will be hard sometimes, but is worth doing.
The only time you should ever be looking down on someone is if you are reaching down to help them up.

As unpleasant as it may be to accept this, people of all races do things that other colors find objectionable.

Hence, people judge them by their color.

Say, for instance, a Hispanic (who could be from a score of countries below the U.S. southern border) is rude in the grocery store and instead of returning something they took off the shelf and later didn't want to the shelf they took it from, they just dump it anywhere in the store, sometimes trying to hide it.

I find that simply inconsiderate, disrespectful and downright IGNORANT. This happens so often where I shop, I began to develop a dislike for Hispanics from what I have seen and experienced in the store.

On the other hand, Hispanics don't like caucasions for other reasons and they judge all caucasions based up their experiences.

Blacks, too, judge caucasions. They still to this day blame "crackers" for what the slave traders did 150 years ago. My family didn't even come to the U.S. until the early 1900's, but I am being held responsible just because I am white.

And you could go on and on....people judge other people by not only their skin color, but what that skin color does.

It has been around since the Egyptians enslaved the Jews and even before. It has always been around and it will always be around.

Don't look for some Utopia. It ain't gonna happen.

Don't let that bother you about stereotypes. We live in a Society that aways evaluates people by skin color to assume who or what you are.
Latin lovers are a wide spread so instinctively women think that all latin men are latin lovers and this is not true.

I ride a Harley so they think I am a Bad Dude , but I am not I just got more money than they do:)

I don't understand why people judge others by the color of their skin. I think when you judge someone by the color of their skin you miss out on meeting a variety of interesting and different people. I mean I know there are stereotypes to every race but that's no excuse.

I was wondering the same thing! I believe cause back in the day when people of older generations were growing up everything was all about racisim. Like the whites had there own thing and the blacks had there own thing. I think its stupid really cause im italian and puerto rican and in love with a hispanic and black man. So i just think its from the older generation still held on into this one.

People are stupid. they categorize people because of race, color or religion. They don't use their brains they let other people do their thinking for them. they judge people on size and deformities too. If people look at a person that is short they think he is stupid or a skinny person as if they have aids, a black as they are lazy or a thug, a Hispanic as a gang banger or drug dealer or illegal. They have small minds and aren't worth your time. Ignore them and do your best at whatever you do and that makes you a better person than them. Good luck.

I'm not quite sure but I think it's because people sometimes feel uncomfortable around people who they are different from. Ever noticed that whites tend to hang out with whites, etc? I think its a comfort level, though I don't know why people judge like that. It might just be a reaction they got from their family, or something else. Sorry!

I don't know, man, I guess the best we can do is start with ourselves, and not judge people. Hopefully, like a ripple in a pond, it will expand to those around us, and even further. It's time for that s**t to be over , people are what they are because of what's inside, their character and personality lie there, not because of the color of their skin. The best we can do is start with ourselves, and make everyone, regardless of ethnicity, feel welcome.
