The bike averaged less than 600 miles per year, obviously the previous owner was a poser. Chances are maintains wasn't done properly, sound like nothing but trouble.

Why do you think a '94 has only 6700 miles? Besides the oil leak, which is standard issue with Harleys, I mean.
Put a few miles on it before you sign, You may want to spend your money on something rideable.

Not a very good buy, I own an 04 and my cousin just bought one off of ebay. I found her a 2001 883 custom with 9400 miles on it. About $1800 worth of extras on it for $5000 and it was in mint condition. Keep looking and don't settle, there are plenty of good deals out there. Dealers mark up is too high.

If you want a Hog, it sounds good to me.
If I was buying I would check out some on line classified ads that offer bikes. eBay is a place to start. Search for used motorcycles on yahoo search, google or what ever engine you like. Many of the sites offer search capabilities so you won't have to look through a lot of other makes.
Good hunting.

Yes, sounds like a real good deal. I got my '97 w/about 12,000 on it for $3,700 off eBay and it needed a battery and put back together ( guy had started working on it as a 'project') BUT it DID come with a LOT of extras.

Not bad. But always keep your options open and search around for the best deal and the best bike that fits you. It may be that one it may not.
