My husband put in the window air conditioner the other day and all of a sudden it is causing puddles inside the house - normally the condensation (or something - I'm not mechanically inclined!) would drip outside. We have no clue what he did wrong.

The air conditioner should be tilted up a bit from the inside so that water will run to the backside and drip off.

Yes, tilt it back. Put a small wood block under the front. If that doesn't solve the problem, drill a few small holes at the back of the casing. Careful NOT to drill through to any equipment.

In layman's words, It desires to be tilted backwards to the exterior a hair. in case you could, take it out of the window and placed a a million/2 to three/4 inch thick board below it and enable the back of it leans outwards. GL!

Maybe you could tilt the unit. The back part down just a hair and the part on the inside up. That's happen to us before;)
