limewire is pretty good, no costs involved with anything, you can get movies, videos, music, documents, pics etc. ALL FREE. Just download the program

Try Limewire. If you have a broadband connection it is very quick. It also gives you good control over who sees what on your computer. Just remember: any files less the 1MB in size are probably a virus. Do not download these. MP3 files that small would be under a minute long so you are not missing what you are looking for if you avoid them. You can get Limewire at Download.com

I use Limewire as well... but if you remember the old old Napster, and liked that there is always WinMX which is kind of like that.
