Why would you care what they think? Duh. They don't live here.
Those that do apparently want some of what we have, or they would not come here. Those that don't live here don't care what we think of their society. Let them be, as long as they let us live in peace.
They have no investment in our culture. We do. Even with all the challenges we face to improve our culture, it is our concern, no one elses.
We still have the greatest system of freedom available in the world. That is a fact, so why be concerned with what others think about our system?
If you don't like it go find a better way of life somewhere else. That has been the problem all along. We are who we are. Others keep coming here, or are from here, and are changing our basic value system to reflect what they want the world to be. Don't change the best and make it worse. Go somewhere else for these social experiments.
I have no problem with anyone who wants to be a part of a culture other than their own. I believe they should also be free to celebrate their heritage. Yet, when this becomes a "watering down" or a diluting of the original society, it is wrong to expect everything to change to accomodate the few who do not want to become a "part of", but expect everything to change for their desires (not needs).

Hi I am Muslim. I believe the same way as many people in this country believe. That there is a great deal of immorality but that it is only on things such as the media. That is a wide held believe by consertive Christians in the country as well. I however, believer that Americans themselves are some of the nicest people you will ever find in the world. After September 11th, I was afraid people would discriminate against me and I have that not to be true. While I do not agree with some of the polices of the government (or most of them at all) lol the American people themselves are very well respecting to my beliefs so why should I not respect their beliefs about what is considered right and wrong even if I may not agree with it.

Most Americans live simple, ordinary lives, without decadence and in a moral manner. In fact, I only know a handful of people who actually qualify as decadent (only because I live in NYC). Can you say that you have EYEwitnessed your characterization of we Americans?
You should educate yourself about the truly decadent, very posh, immoral lives that Middle-Eastern, very wealthy oil barrons and their families enjoy! The yachts, jewelry, drugs, alcohol, sex, mansions in Europe and of course, in the Middle East. Even Osama Bin Laden enjoyed a brief period of decadence himself when he was young. Yassar Arafat's wife and family have lived very, very well in Paris for many, many years.
You and the faithful Muslims are watching too many movies and tv shows about "American" life, which doesn't reflect reality. If you must judge, you should think before you make your accusation, and look for support on the internet.

Every coulture is different. Every belief is different! If you don't like you life , than get out of it!!! Why should we as Americans be punished by other countries because we don't live our lives the way they do???
This country was formed because we didn't want to be governed by others on what to believe or who to believe in, that why The United States are The United STates!!! We WORKED FOR WHAT WE HAVE and we don't tell other countries how to run thiers, SO GET OVER HOW WE RUN OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
