Yes. Most sunscreens should have an expiration date. While they should still provide some protection after that date, I wouldn't count on full protection.

Yes! If it feels funny, like doesn't have the normal consistency, or smells different... chunk it and get new!! And also, most have expiration dates... very important to have IN date sunscreen!

Yes, the chemicals in sunscreen do break down over time thus lessening their effectiveness. Toss it if you've had it more than a year.

yes, usually one to two years. We didn't know this and got really really burned on vacation even though we applied the sunscreen every couple hours.

i have heard that it does expire after two yrs, but probably you should ask a pharmacist.
